Minutes of September meeting of West Dereham PC

Minutes of the meeting of the West Dereham Parish Council held on

Thursday 9th September 2004 in the

Village Hall at 8.00 p.m.

Present: E. Drew - Chairman, Miss Richardson, Mrs. Berry, B. Glover together with 4 members of the public.

Apologies: M. Grief, Mrs. Cann, Mrs. Fisher and P.C. Bell.

Minutes: it was agreed that the minutes of the meeting held on 8th July 2004 should be signed as a correct record.

Matters Arising: Footpaths and Bridleways - it was confirmed that Footpaths nos. 10 and 12 are to have applications for diversion submitted by the respective landowners.

Planning Decision: Mr. & Mrs. Moore - extension to 5 Ryston Road -- approved.

Payments: Environment Agency - £14.26 - proposed Miss Richardson and seconded B. Glover pass for payment.

Correspondence: Norfolk Matters: Signpost - both noted. Norfolk County Council

notification of carriageway haunching and construction of additional passing bays in

Station Road work now completed. Norfolk County Association of Parish and

Town Councils - Clerks and Councillors training days. Model Code of Conduct for

Local Government Employees.

Action: Book titles are still awaited from Mrs. Cann.

Any Other Business: The hedge along the new footpath is to be cut and the new footpath needs to be cut. Chicken wire is to be fixed on the Allotment side of the post and wire fence. A post and wire fence is to be erected adjacent to the proposed footpath diversion on the north east corner of the Allotments. Bridleways are being inspected with regard to the free heights which now badly overhang. The question arose again about how much and what materials can be deposited at the recycling centre. Part of the road has broken away near three drain covers at the junction of Ryston and Hilgay Roads - Chairman agreed to contact the County Council. A member of the public raised the question of traffic along Station Road and when told what the Parish Council had done and what was at present being investigated they decided not sufficient had been done and they arc going to endeavour to deal with the matter themselves.

The meeting closed at 8.50 p.m.
