Minutes of the July meeting of West Dereham Parish Council

meeting held on Thursday 14th July 2005 in

The Village Hall at 8.OOp.m.

1 Present: E. Drew - Chairman. Mrs. Berry. Mrs. Cairn, Miss Richardson,

M. Grief, B. Glover together with 3 members of the public.

2. Apologies: Mrs. Fisher.

3. Minutes: It was agreed that the minutes of the meeting held on the 9th June 2005 be signed as a correct record.

4. Matters Arising: The trees at the river bank are now even more overgrown but again assurances have been given that the matter will be dealt with shortly. Some of the pot holes in the Village have been dealt with but there are still some awaiting attention.

5. Planning:West Dereham Abbey Stud - Construction of dwelling - proposed M. Grief and seconded Miss Richardson that a recommendation of approval be made.

6. Payments: CGM. Ltd. £696. 56: C.G.M. Ltd. £200.00 - proposed M. Grief and seconded Miss Richardson pass for approval.

7. Correspondence: EDF Energy - certificate required - clerk has dealt with the matter. E .ON Energy - future charge for Street Light energy will be £31.47. W.N.B.C. Canvassers required for the 2006 Register of Electors : Queen Elizabeth Hospital confirmed cancellation of 25th birthday party : Norfolk Matters : Working together - all noted. Mayors Charity Appeal for First Responders - proposed Mrs. Cairn, seconded Mrs. Berry a donation of £20.00 be made. Norfolk Rural Community Council - Parish Plans - request be made for Janice Howell to attend the September meeting.

8. Any Other Business: Request that Station Road problems be kept at the top of the Parish Council 'agenda'. The telephone lines in the Parish are in a poor state with intermittent crackles and cut outs - Chairman is to contact British Telecom and liaise with clerk.
